An interactive workshop to present ways early childhood professionals can create and maintain a safe healthy environment. Emphasis will be placed on identifying communicable disease and preventing the spread of illness within the child care setting, injury prevention, classroom safety, and playground safety.
Recognizing and reporting abuse are essential skills for care givers of young children. The historical aspects, types of abuse, and proper reporting procedures will be covered.
Child sexual abuse is no longer society’s darkest secret. Adults who work with children can protect them from this horror. Stewards of Children’s training educates adults to prevent, recognize and react responsibly to sexual abuse.
This course is approved by the State Fire Marshallís office for child care providers. Participants will learn how to identify fire hazards in their environments as well as create emergency plans for the classroom.
This class covers adult, child, and infant cpr and first aid as well as the use of an AED. American Heart CPR cards are issued for 2 years and the first aid cards are issued for 3 years.
